Last Sunday my brother-in-law Peter and I visited the Briggs Cemetery
in Pembroke, Ma.. Established in 1722 it sits on a small dirt road off of
Rte 53, nestled among tall pine trees:
A blog devoted mainly to the cemeteries of Southeastern Massachusetts with occasional forays elsewhere in New England. A member of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits.

PRATT TOWN CEMETERY BRIDGEWATER MA
Bridgewater is big enough to have several neighborhoods, one of which is
Pratt Town. Judging by the number of graves here for Pratt family members,
I'm guessing it was named for them, although at one time it was instead known
as Paper Mill Village. There are Hayward, Benson and Keith cousins of mine
buried here

HILLSIDE CEMETERY BRIDGEWATER MA
I was at my grandnephew' s birthday party Sunday and passed two old
cemeteries on the way home. My Keith, Packard and Edson ancestors as well as
others came from the area so I stopped to see if any cousins were buried here.
This stone is six feet tall by 4 ft wide. Compared to the others here it's
a monolith.
